The mission of the School of Engineering and Technologies
at Canbourne University is excellence in teaching and
research. Specifically, the School of E&T seeks to:
- Recruit the most able undergraduate and graduate
students and prepare them for positions of scientific
and technical leadership in industry, government,
and education,
- Provide the best possible undergraduate and graduate
instruction in scientific and professional aspects
of engineering,
- Foster research activities which generate new fundamental
knowledge and techniques and which draw upon the particular
interdisciplinary strengths and resources of Canbourne
and
- Provide all students of Canbourne University with
opportunities to develop a better understanding of
the role of engineering and technology in modern society.
The School comprises both the Undergraduate Department
of Engineering Sciences at Canbourne and a graduate
professional school in engineering.
Undergraduate programs emphasize interdisciplinary
study in the engineering sciences within the context
of a broad-based liberal arts education.
At the graduate level, the School of E&T offers degrees
through the doctorate combining scholarship, research,
experimentation, problem-solving, and design.
